The Biblical Description of Heaven

The Colors of Heaven
Heaven is a place we ALL want to see and live for eternity! Our eyes, minds and imaginations could NEVER, in a million years, quite comprehend nor grasp it's encompassing beauty and glory! One day, those of us who are born again Christians, will know this beauty, where all pain, suffering and tears will be absent! Revelation 21:4 tells us, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." There is a constant chant of holy angels that are continually proclaiming Holy, Holy, Holy over the throne of God.  The Mercy Seat in heaven where God sits is surrounded by magnificent angels full of glory and power that proclaim and bless the holy name of God without ceasing. Some of these are described as beasts, full of eyes, with six wings and neither rest day or night in their proclaiming the holiness of God as found in Revelation 4:8-11. So, what will heaven be like? What will WE be like when we get there? The Bible really doesn't go into specific details about heaven. Why? Because "eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 Cor 2:9).

More important than anything else is the fact that we will be with our Lord forever. The River of Life flows from His Throne! It will be perfect! It will be clear! When we see Christ face to face His presence will dominate heaven the same way the sun dominates the hot summer sky. Just as the sun illuminates the summer sky, so will the glory of Christ illuminate all of heaven. We'll get to talk to Him, ask Him questions, and listen to Him speak. Imagine hearing His voice! The Bible says it will be "like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder." (Revelation 14:2). Imagine the stories He'll tell us, the lessons He'll teach, the love He'll share!!!

After the Kingdom of Heaven begins on earth, after Christ’s return, the New Jerusalem descends out of heaven and heaven, in the New Jerusalem, will then be on earth.  Revelation 21:1-2 describes this:  “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The very tabernacle of God will be with humans then and heaven is any place where God is. Rev. 21:3, "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." John was carried away to heaven in Revelation 21 and this chapter is perhaps the best description of heaven that we know of; at least the heaven that will be seen by those who belong to Christ today.

John describes heaven in Revelation 21:10-27:

(10) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
(11) Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
(12) And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
(13) On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
(14) And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
(15) And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
(16) And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
(17) And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
(18) And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
(19) And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
(20) The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
(21) And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
(22)And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
(23) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
(24) And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
(25) And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
(26) And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
(27) And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

What a description, wouldn't you say?!? I mean, think about just those verses above and still not having the FULL understanding of the truest form of its beauty! There are times when I gaze up into the heavenlies and try to imagine what beautiful landscape lies beyond what our eyes can see! I know that heaven is part of our inheritance and we are to be anxiously awaiting His return. No matter how poor one is, no matter where they have been raised, no matter what country they are from, if you are a born again Christian and a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, then you belong to ROYALTY! God is the ultimate King! He reigns on High and He has our inheritance waiting for us!

But there is only one way for you to see heaven and Jesus Christ is the one and only access to it (John 6:44, Acts 4:12, 16:30-31).  There is no other way possible to get to heaven but by the Son of God. So please do not be fooled into believing that "all paths lead to God" because they DO NOT! Getting to heaven is a one-way trip. If you die before Jesus Christ’s Second Advent, otherwise known as His return,  you will go directly to heaven and be in the presence of God. If you never see heaven, you will certainly see hell and that is also a one-way trip from which there is no return.

Revelation 21:7-8 shows the fate of those not going to heaven: “Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” These are the unbelievers, the ones who have rejected Jesus as their personal savior and who have chosen to continue to live a life of sin over His free gift of salvation and eternal life! Just like the story of the rich man and Lazarus, the rich man who died without Christ is forever denied access to heaven and to God. It's an everlasting location from which no one can depart.  My prayer is that no one would ever go there!

There is one simple way that you can go to heaven. Jesus died after living a perfect life. He spilled His blood to take the Holy Father’s wrath upon Himself.  This is what bridged the gap from heaven to hell.  It's a free gift. Not choosing to accept it, is to seal your fate forever. But to accept it is to be with God in heaven for eternity, in joyful, glorious bliss.  Right now if you ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior, ask for the forgiveness of your sins, admit you are a sinner in need of saving, and place your faith and trust in Him, He promises to never, ever forsake you.  He will keep you in His own hand and never caste you away, even when you die (John 6:37, 10:28-29).  If you do this right now you will see heaven for yourself.  And you will be with the Lord our God forever and ever when you leave this earth.

There are those who think this life is great..

The more my heart longs for Heaven,

    1. Yes Andrew S, many people do think this life is great, and think this is all there is! I agree with you that they have failed to see the glory that awaits them all, if they are believers in Christ! As more and more corruption and violence erupts in this fallen world, the closer I feel we are getting to seeing our Lord God COME! I asked just how worse could it possibly get 10 years ago and I saw with my own eyes and also my spiritual eyes, how worse it can get. As in the days of Noah.....that holds a lot of prophetic vision just in those 6 words! Come, Lord Jesus, Come! We await!!!

  6. Must I be baptized for salvation?

    1. The short answer is no, baptism is not a CONDITION of salvation. However, Baptism clearly is commanded by God for those who have faith, who believes and been saved. Overwhelmingly the Bible stresses that a person is saved by grace through faith and that salvation is a gift of God, freely given, when one believes in Jesus Christ for their salvation. (Eph. 2:8-9) There is no question that baptism is an important first act of OBEDIENCE of the one who has believed in Jesus Christ and received forgiveness of sin and eternal life. However, baptism, as presented in the New Testament, always follows belief and never is the basis for receiving salvation. Baptism, in the Scriptures, is part of one's outward public profession of belief in Jesus Christ as one's Savior and it initiates one into the local body of believers. It follows salvation and though important it is not necessary for salvation. If you would like more information on this subject please email me directly, as this is limited space. 1. Paul, the Lord Jesus Christ knows your heart! He hears your cries! He has promised to save the lost, to save those that cry out to Him for forgiveness of their sins and who believe on Him, His birth, death and resurrection to spend eternal life with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven!

    3. Thank God Jesus has already for given our sins, as far as the East from the west he has removed our sins. Roman 10:9 say If thy shall confess with thou mouth believe in your heart that God has raise Jesus from the dead you shall be save. after that it is a matter of studying God word to know his will for you. by the way His Word is his Will. This is call the new birth.

  8. I remember Oprah trying to convince people that there is more than one way to Heaven. She also claims that Jesus did not come down to die for our sins, and that God is merely a feeling rather than a being. She also said that gays are from God. Pray for this terribly blinded woman. Her destination seems to be to destruction due to her numerous public blasphemies and false teachings.

    1. Yes, you are VERY correct and she is still at it today. When I heard her say that God was merely a "feeling" rather than a BEING it broke my heart! The very one who CREATED her she is denying! She is very public with her false teachings and blasphemies and is part of the New Age Movement which is a very dangerous path to be on....it's a mish mash of a bunch of lies, sweet enough to tickle the ears of those who don't want to give up their sins because Oprah doesn't speak of sin, EVER. All she talks about is the good, the warm and fuzzies and how everyone will go to Heaven....as a matter of fact she never uses the name of JESUS....ONLY God. And I can assure you, she isn't speaking of the Almighty GOD. Yes we are commanded to pray for the lost and she is in the same category!

  9. When I was saved I remember having this Peace come over me. I am no longer able to hate or hold grudges. I am very forgiving, even to those that have done wrong to me. I have turned from my sin,and am now walking on Gods path, not my own. And I pray every day for the Holy Spirit to guide my thoughts and my path. My question is, if we have sinned against someone, do we need to seek them out somehow and apologize to them. Or was repenting my sins to the Lord all I need to do?

Your "divinely inspired spiritual journey" (as well as mine) is guided by our
Supernatural Navigator. He is The Master Encourager. He is our all-in-all, and knows it all from beginning to end. The Holy Spirit inside of me supernaturally guided me to your blog one morning after my prayer partner asked me about 'the third heaven'. My soul took flight after clicking onto your Blog. It's still the only link I accessed, knowing how faithful God is in directing my destiny, and that He directed me to you. Hallelujah! We all can totally trust Him and surrender peacefully to His Perfect Plan of salvation for born-again-believers. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, I know pre-destination sets us on course for our personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ, and for our assignment from Him. I humbly say THANK YOU again in the mighty name of our Triune God; The Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit...the life-saving, all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present everywhere...LOVING TRINITY! I thank His greatness daily for being my Supernatural Navigator (which I love that analogy, so thank YOU!) and how His pre-destination sets us on our own course to develop and nourish our personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! There is nothing more satisfying than that which is divinely inspired because with it, comes a peace that isn't easy to explain! He guides us where He wants us and as long as we allow Him to drive the car then our journey will be like nothing we've ever experienced! I and so thankful He led you to my Blog for that very reason you mentioned above....your soul took flight! Nothing is coincidental! I will continue to pray that you find encouragement and maybe see a bit more of who our God IS! In Christ Alone!

  13. I am saved, but I was wondering something. People say to turn from sin. Can you 100% turn away from sin? Because I was always taught that no one was perfect. I try to turn away from sin. I am a good person to people and I have accepted the gift of Salvation and I feel God in my heart. But, if someone cuts me off in traffic and I get scared all of a sudden, or Jolted all of a sudden, and I say a curse word, accidentally mind you, because I'm not about cussing, does that mean I don't inherit the Kingdom of God? This may be a stupid question. I was just wondering though.

    1. Thank you for the question and comment, and first I want to start off by saying NOTHING is a stupid question! You never learn if you don't ask. For a deeper answer, you can email me at shieldoffaith62@gmail.com as you just posted this publicly and anonymously. Nobody is perfect except Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is the ONLY one without sin! So we can't be 100% without sin. What is meant by turning from our sins is primarily to be saved and THEN allow the Lord to help us fight our temptations and NOT act upon them. When we do sin, knowingly, we do need to repent and ask the Lord to help us turn from our ways and allow Him to transform us. An accidental "curse" word that slips out will NOT prevent you from inheriting the Kingdom of God but what is asked of you is to TRY to stop it from "slipping" out in the first place. This helps us to become more Christ like and form a closer relationship with Jesus! If you'd like a little more explanation or clarification, please feel free to email me and I will reply directly to your email.

  14. I have a question... if God knows everything, then why does he have to test us? Doesn't he already know the outcome? And since he knows the exact way we will go from point A to point B, that would mean we have no free will. Just a curious thought of mine.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Dear Anonymous, there isn't a short response but I will do my best. If you still need further answers, please email me directly at shieldoffaith62@gmail.com and I will go into this a little further. When a comment is made anonymously it doesn't show a "response" email. So first, He doesn't HAVE to test us, but rather He tests us because we need to learn FAITH AND TRUST that way. If we are never challenged or tested in our daily lives, we don't learn anything. His tests aren't for punishment, which many mistakenly believe. They are for strength, for trust, for Faith, for obedience, for blessings for our relationship with Him. Yes, He sure does know the outcome! And although He does know what we will choose, and how we get there between point A and point B, that does NOT mean we don't have free will at all! It's quite the opposite. Let's say we have a decision to make. We can either choose solution A, which is NOT the biblical, God inspired solution, but rather OUR own CHOICE, or we can choose Solution B which is God's will, His WAY, through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Now, if we choose A, being out of His will and of OUR choice, He knows it, and ALLOWS us to do so in order for us to see for ourselves that our ways, the worldly ways, are NOT His way, and the outcome will be different. In order to get us back to His original plan in that decision, it will take us much longer, and maybe with some bumps and bruises, but we'll get there. And likely, we'll learn a valuable lesson about waiting and listening to the voice of our Savior. We'd save ourselves a lot of heartaches and growing pains if we'd just follow His voice and stay in His will! But He loves us so much that He doesn't FORCE us to choose Him, His Son or His Plans! He gives us a choice through our own free will. Through that free will comes our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior and our reliance upon His shed blood for our sins. Reliance upon Him for our path to Him. I pray this clears up some questions but as I mentioned above, please feel free to email me directly and I will privately reply in further details. God Bless you!

  15. My husband, our kids dear Daddy died recently and we are confused as to whether he is immediately with Jesus as the Heaven is for Real book would indicate or if he is 'asleep' until Jesus returns for all of us and my daughter wonders why Jesus would come back for our old bodies when we are to have new ones? We don't have internet at home but I will check for your reply when I get a chance next. Thank you for helping people understand.

    Replies
    1. First I am very sorry to hear of your loss of your husband and daddy to your children! Rest in the arms of our Loving God and may peace be with you and your children always! As for a "sleep" state or going immediately to be with the Lord, I will answer you in the context of Scripture where Paul tells us CLEARLY in 2 Corinthians 5:7-8, "v7) For we walk by faith, not by sight. v8) We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." So when we are called home to be with the Lord, we are IMMEDIATELY in His presence. He sends His angels to escort us there as well. I've heard about this "sleep" stage but there is nowhere in the Bible to support this and there would be no purpose IN a sleep stage. It would go against everything the Bible tells us. As for our bodies? This is a little less easy to explain in a short version, but I will try my best! :-) Ok, first of all, in I Corinthians 15:50 it tells us that flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven because it is SINFUL. Then in verses 51-52, Paul explains the mystery about our change. The corruptible will put on incorruption, and mortality will become immortality. We need to have a complete change to make us suitable for our new environment. This implies a conversion of our same physical bodies to a body with heavenly qualities. Paul states that their dead body is sown and will be resurrected to new life. God has it become a new body ( 1Cor.15:38). The old body puts on (is swallowed up) by the new body it is transformed into something permanent. The statement characterizes the resurrection body as one completely filled and governed by the Holy Spirit. So the implications are that our new body is the embodiment of a spiritual body. 2 Cor. 5:1-5: “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.” Notice it states the new body our housing is in heaven and from heaven. That's because we are changed and made to adjust to a new location. God’s purpose is to give us a permanent body to live in. The physical body we were born in embodies the sinful nature. God tells us that we are made NEW once we receive His Son, Jesus Christ. That is the beginning of our transformation! Praise be to the Lord God Almighty for loving us so much! This would be the best way that I could describe that part because the Bible doesn't go into great details about this particular change. Paul states it's a mystery and sometimes God just gives us enough to understand within our human capabilities because we can't wrap our heads or minds around everything He is and does because we are mere mortals! I pray this answered your questions. If you are still unclear, please email again! I will answer you as much as need be to help you through this! God Bless You!

  16. God will receive you as long as you believe in him . He is understanding and has unconditional love for all of his children . I disagree when people say you have to follow this and that rule to receive his love . Like any loving parent he loves you know matter what . You have to be a pretty horrible person and have your soul full of absolute hate and denial for him to forsake you . Absolute love is god , absolute faith is god , and absolute understanding is god ,not a bunch of rules. Love him and he will love you back its that simple .

    1. Thank you for your comment. Yes it is true that God IS Love. Rules and rituals are man made EXCEPT for those specific things that God the Father breathed into existence in His infallible Word for our instruction. One being that no one can come to the Father except by Jesus Christ. We must believe upon Him, accept Him as our personal Savior, believe that He is the ONLY Begotten Son, who died on the cross for our sin debt, rose three days later and who shed His blood for US. It is then that we will be received as a Child of God. It is very simple, I agree, but as with anything else, not everyone sees it so simply unless you are a child of God and have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. That's why we are all called to pray for those who cannot see......

  17. Soldier of God, thank you for your reply. This is the widow with many young children, I'm at the library and need to ask another question or two. It's late to ask this but need reassurance - it was okay then to cremate Daddy since God will not need the body he died in, right? Also what about the part in the Bible about when Jesus returns and then the dead in Christ rise first then the rest of the living join them in the clouds?... if the dead are immediately in Heaven how would this be so? Also confused about the part in Isaiah 65 where it describes Heaven with building of houses and living in them and planting of crops ... Daddy would love that, but we get confused in that part where it describes people living to be a hundred before considered old... people not dying before a full life - is this part of Isaiah describing Heaven or not? We thought there would be no further dying or is this describing the 1,000 years - is there a book besides the Bible that you would recommend reading to help me learn to help the kids understand since Daddy had been our foundation for all knowledge about God since my parents are agnostic. We are hurting , please help us. I will try to get to the library again on Monday to check if you saw this and had time to answer. Thank you again for caring about people. Mom G.

    1. You are very welcome! I'm here whenever you need me. Let me first start off with my book recommendations as that is the shortest part of this reply! :-) I won't give titles but rather just the authors as they are extremely scripturally sound authors and I would recommend any of their books! To start off with Dr. Charles Stanley. He is one of my favorite teachers and authors. He covers many topics, easy to understand, all based upon Scripture and I believe you will find his books to be extremely useful! Also in the same category is Dr. Robert Jeffress, Dr. David Jeremiah and Dr. Jack Graham. All four of these authors you will truly benefit from! All have different gifts and ministries but I think it's important to learn from more than one person because of that very reason. You can find all of their books easily anywhere you look!

Now, to the cremation. Rest assured, it IS ok that he was cremated! Our bodies that we die in only house our spirits and are of no use to God because they are sinful! Some people take issue with cremation BUT it's NOT the body that will enter Heaven, nor does it matter how those bodies are scattered or buried because He knows where we are anyway!!! So it was ok that he was cremated. We cremated our mother as well. We knew where she was going to go!!!

To your question about how the dead in Christ will rise first and the living will join them in the clouds. This is part of the rapture, or the day of resurrection. First, death is BODILESS because it's our SPIRITS that are present with the Lord immediately upon dying. Secondly, "the dead in Christ will rise first" applies to the events at the return of Christ for the resurrection of our bodies, of those who died, they will be the union of our glorified bodies and spirits forever! So when Jesus sounds the trumpet and calls us home, the dead in Christ will be resurrected first to be united with their spirits and new body THEN those that are alive with simultaneously meet in the clouds. In a blink of an eye.

That part in Isaiah is a bit confusing I agree. It took me a long time to grasp that as well! Once we are in Heaven, there will be no more tears or dying! There will be some, although not many, who will die during the 1000 year millennial reign. Not dying before a full life is not talking about Heaven though. That part of the scripture is covering a period of time when man’s lifespan would be increased to that of the pre-flood era, where a person one hundred years of age would be regarded as a child and be only a PORTION of one's life. It is to this scale of longevity that Isaiah is making his comparison, in which the hundred year old is considered to be a mere youth! If that scripture is describing the 100 year old as only a portion of one's life, then those who are only 100 years old will be considered a "child, youth" or "young man" at 100 years old. And to die at this age would be compared to dying a premature death.

"Daddy" will be happy in his garden and tilling in the earth! Praise God! I know it's difficult for you not having your "teacher, mentor and foundation of knowledge" with you, and that you can't really turn to your parents because they're agnostics. You just keep searching, praying for God to direct you, continue to pray for your parents! I will continue to answer you or direct you the best that I know how with the help of the Holy Spirit and the direction of our Lord Jesus Christ! You are pleasing the Lord by your hunger and your desire to raise up your kids in the way they should go as well as your own hunger for continued growth! Find peace and comfort in His arms and He will hold you all closely!!! I pray this cleared up some things for you.....

  18. Thank you again for responding. Sorry, another question... are our days exactly numbered on earth or if we had seen something, any sign, and had a chance to intervene medically would there have been a chance to alter the outcome? The "it was his time " comment people say or when Pastor preaches about having enough faith for healing ( the lady who touched His robe, or the lepper or Lazarus) ...these things are painful - did I/we not have enough faith or trust for healing , see - I prayed with each compression for a half hour of CPR for God to help me help him breathe - then after that half hour of CPR at home waiting for an ambulance and then a half hour transport to the ER from our country place and at least a half hour at the ER before the doctor refused to work on him anymore was too long without breathing/heart beat and then some friends had come to the ER and one was praying over Dad after he had been removed from the trauma room and she said she was still believing that he would come back but I did not pray there with her - I was over consoling the older kids as they arrived at the ER... now I so much wish I had concentrated with her praying for a miracle but I didn't think he could come back after that long - if God knows all the hairs on our heads and the beginning from the end, then is there a set amount of days that we each have? I know my faith is not as strong as it needs to be - that is why I'm trying to learn more especially since my guy is not here anymore to lead this family, some of the kids are still so little and I need to give the right answers. Thank you for your help .

  19. No need to apologize for asking more questions!!! :-) First of all, yes, our days ARE exactly numbered. He records our very existence and has predestined the day of our death. Notice in Psalms 139:16 as the psalmist says of God, “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written , the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.” This verse shows that God “saw” us or knew of us before we were conceived in our mother’s womb and our existence is written in His “book." God is omniscient (all-knowing) and He has set the date of our conception, birth, death, along with knowing all the days in-between. He is an awesome God! God gives life at conception and gives eternal life at death to those who believe in Jesus Christ and have put their faith in Him in their earthly life. The Bible declares an all-knowing God and that our “days” are known to Him. The "it was his time" comment that people say has truth behind the saying for certain.

As for altering the outcome, I'll give you the "fluffy" answer....God is in control of every breath we take. He knows before we THINK a thought what we will do, choose, act upon or say. We can't change the outcome of the WILL of our Loving God because we then would have His power and that isn't possible. ONLY if it's the WILL of God for HIS purpose, then ONLY HE can change the outcome by using us. Then IF that were to happen, it still wouldn't be US changing the outcome and it would STILL be HIS Will and OUR TIME...which has been appointed to us.

And having enough faith for healing.....all anyone needs is the faith of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is so very small! Healing is in His hands as well. We can have all the faith and more, but if it's not His will for healing to be done, for whatever reason and for whatever purpose, then healing won't take place. Remember, this still goes along with the above....our days are numbered. Please, do NOT feel any guilt in consoling the older kids as they arrived in the ER! That was exactly what you needed to do! Your friend was there to intercede. It only takes one person to pray for a miracle and if God needed him home with Him in Heaven then it was his time to travel home. I know that must have been such a heartbreaking time in your life, and your children's, but you did everything you needed to do, everything that you had to do, and everything you did, the Lord saw and honored!

There is a set amount of days we each have but only the Lord knows that number! He wants us to live each day, every day, as though it was our last, living it for Him. We don't always know the answers to why our loved ones had to be taken home, and it's normal for us to ask all of the questions you are asking. We, as humans, like answers. God doesn't always let us in on the "why's" but He ALWAYS assures us of His love, compassion and His peace that He gives us as He comforts us through our grief! As you were praying at each compression, did you not think you didn't have enough faith then!?! I assure you that you DID! God heard that and He saw your love for your husband with each prayer and with each compression. It was his time to go home. But you never know what God was doing behind the scenes....in your life, in your children's, in your friends lives that came to the ER and even the doctor's and ambulance medics! God can use the passing of one to breathe life into the spirit of another! You did everything to the glory of the Lord your God! He's holding you and carrying you through this troubled time!!! You're seeking the answers for your family and that pleases God!

    1. Soldier of God - THANK YOU for answering - I truly appreciate all the time you have spent explaining things for me and comforting me, I have to get my mind settled so my heart will calm down and then I can better comfort my kids with the Bible answers you have taught me. Thank you so much, I'm so happy I found your site while I was searching for knowledge about Heaven. You are a blessing to me, take care.

    2. Sorry for my delay in responding but my internet has been out and then the modem died on me! :-( Today is a new day and a new modem! You are so welcome! I have been called for this particular ministry for "such a time as this" and you know how to reach me if you have any other questions or comments or need direction. I will pray for your heart to calm down, as it will when the grieving is over, and you are settling your mind right now as we speak. If you haven't already, take a look around at some of the other articles I've written on here and in the pages section to the side. You might find some answers there as well. I'm very thankful that you were led to my site and that I had the blessed opportunity to answer your questions, point you in the right direction and to explain what I could for you! You will find your comfort and the Lord Jesus is right there, holding you tight. As I've shared, my mother passed over and left behind us three "special" girls, my sister, myself and my niece. The grieving process is different for all of us and the one thing that ISN'T different is His loving comfort and holding us close! So just pass it along to your children when they need it! In Christ Alone!

  21. Doing a series on what Jesus Christ has accomplished for us. We spoke of the separation of the soul and physical body upon death. The body to the earth and the soul to God. This past week we spoke of the promised resurrection of the body when Christ returns to "meet us in the air", and how our physical bodies will be changed and we will "be like Him". I'm just doing some research to describe as best I can what heaven will be like. God bless you all! See you soon!!!

    2. I can't seem to differentiate this story from a regular fairy tale, so I'm not sure it's true at all, and it has no more actual proof than the mutually-exclusive stories of Allah, or Brahma, or Nanook, or Zeus, etc, etc. But it is a good read, and interesting fiction. I like the flavorful wording, and the Bible has been so important throughout man's history that I think it's important to learn about it.

    3. Dale D, thank you for your comment. I assure you, as many born again Christians can also, heaven IS real but more importantly, that JESUS CHRIST is real! God sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross for all of our sins, to pay our sin debt in full. The bible, in its entirety, speaks of many truths that are not found in any other religion and can be substantiated through time. As you yourself stated, the Bible has been so important to man and for good reason! I invite you to read the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John just to see the a glimpse of what you think is important to learn about. I sense there is a curiosity within your own spirit and that usually is God knocking on your heart's door. Remember, we all have been given a choice.....we can choose to believe in Jesus and follow Him and reside in Heaven or we can choose to disobey the calling, not believe in His sacrifice and reside in Hell and torment for eternity. The choice of what we choose to believe once we've heard the Truth is what ultimately matters! I will pray that you will find the Truth that is written for you too within the text of the Bible! May God bless you and guide you to His light through His truth!

    4. Hi,um I want to first of all introduce myself, I am Rodneus Scott,16 years old,and um I just thank and congratulate everyone for their comments, and what seems to be dedication to this blog, just moments ago I started to read, from the beginning. I've been blessed from my readings, yes I am saved, have been for let's say since I was 12 by confession, and 2 years ago I was baptized. I really thank God for my 16 years of life, although for some reason I feel far older than I am,I've learned a lot,I've realized how evil this world is and have become and I know it will only get worse, and I know undoubtedly that Jesus will return.a year ago maybe I had doubts not of Jesus but of my self.I would have these dreams of the rapture, and the end of time, and I would still be on earth with the rest of the unbelievers, this dream frightened me I wandered if it would come true. Id tell myself no, this dream means nothing, I know the father,I know the son,and the holy spirit, I'd cry out to the Almighty,in prayer, asking that he keep me through out life,as his own,I told him I would abide in him,and he in me. Many occasions I feel, my connection with Jesus, and it is an amazing feeling, I thank him for the great sacrifice of his self for our sins,I thank God for sending him. The Devil, the Lord is my witness, has tempted me many times,I've thought of many things against the word of God,contradictions, accusations, all because of my current, meaningless emotions,I've even read the satanic Bible, yes I assure you my discipline have been received because of my improper and unlawful act. I got very sick,I didn't know what sickness, I just know I was barely viable, barely alive. I couldn't walk, vision was blurred, and I was very cold,my Father, my righteous father, prayed over me,and told me sickness comes from sin, repent of whatever you've done, don't tell me what it was, it does not matter, just repent, then I realized,my streak of sin based on my build up,of depressive, emotions based on the things of the past, has brought this evil upon me,so that moment, I closed my eyes, and humbly, lowley, guilty as charged, repented of my sin. I was healed.I felt the heavenly father's precious, majestic, holy presence once again around, inside and out of me. But anyway not to bore anyone, I'll end my little, ugh history
And like I said I have been blessed by everyone, that has commented, and repliedthis, and contributed to the creation of this site, and took the time to make this blog what it is,it is beautiful to see, the members of the body of Christ perform like thissite,I thank everyone, most importantly,Glory to our Almighty,Merciful,All knowing Creator of Heaven and Earth, and every living thing,God.

I am the sole contributor/administrator/writer of this blog as I've been led by the Holy Spirit to do this ministry! It is through this site that I've been able to reach the far corners of the world to speak Truth to all the lies of the enemy and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ! 1. A repentant heart will be your comfort! You sound very troubled and unsure but I want to assure you that if you are a born again Christ believer who has asked for sincere forgiveness of your sins, believing in the One TRUE living God who sent His son to die for your sins and paid our sin-debt in full, He has already washed you clean! If you haven't, it's not too late! He hears your pleas and your knows your desire to do better for Him, your son and your whole family and He wants you to rely on Him! He wants you to come to Him and seek His face through your regeneration. It takes time. Patience. FAITH. and TRUST! Continue to pray, continue to reach out to Him and to His church of believers for guidance. He never fails us and never forsakes His children. EVER. The blackened heart you speak of I'm sure comes from deep pain. This too can be healed. Read His word daily and find comfort there! Our community is there for you and will be praying for you. You sound desperate and God knows this of you. Please know Jesus Loves YOU! He cares about YOU and YOU are IMPORTANT to Him! Don't give up and don't give in! Cleansing sometimes takes a little bit and remember, your past is your past and the enemy, the devil, will want to keep bringing it up. Once you've repented of it and truly asked Jesus for Forgiveness and received His free gift of salvation, the Lord will not bring up your past because He died for it for you to be made new. God creates newness and the devil can only drudge up our past mistakes and sins! Remember this! Jesus doesn't want us to live in our past because He gave us our FUTURE! God Bless you in His Perfect Will and if you need specific prayers, ask us all and we will be in prayer for you on our forum! Lives are transformed all the time in Jesus Christ alone! Yours can be as well!
