Exposing Evil and Proclaiming Truth

Happy New Year to all of my readers! This year will be full of change, battles and distractions. Even the unbelievers sense something in the air. I see too many things that disturb my spirit and can only imagine how much more suffering will happen in the world this year. It gets worse and worse each passing year but it's beginning to speed up. We see it all around us, in every place we look. It's there.

In August of 2013, I wrote an article about the entertainment industry called, "Enter-CHANGE-Us" which can be found here. I also wrote an article recently in August of 2015 called "The Celebration of Sin" which can be found here Now a few years later, it's gotten much worse, much more evil and much more of a celebratory of sin that no matter where you turn, no matter where you look, it's THERE! You can't help but notice it. Or can you? I know many who have become too conditioned to the evil and have become numb to the diabolical chaos. It's quite sad actually and I know it grieves the Holy Spirit when so much callousness is exhibited towards humankind. I'm NOT politically correct by any means as many of you know by reading and following my blog. I AM Biblically correct though and that's what matters most to me! Not one of us is perfect, but through the blood of Jesus Christ, for the born again Christ believers, we have been cleansed and have become white as snow! His blood covered our sins and when the Father sees us, He sees His Son's perfection!

Isaiah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Know this, when God, in His inerrant Word, calls something evil, it is evil. When He labels something bitter, than no amount of religious authorities, can make it sweet through their solemn declarations!

God's Light Shines the Brightest

I was flipping through channels in preparation for this article because I've been noticing a greater amount of Satan-influenced goings-on in our world today. While the world is in a feeding frenzy to devour the darkest, sickest, perverted and most vile of trends, I had to step back to look at things through clear lens' because it seems many Christians are falling into the worldly things, getting caught up in the desires of the world, slipping slowly away from our Lord and Savior. When a rash of what I would tend to call a "mass exodus" takes place, those with eyes can clearly see a trend in the Hollyweird influence and the agenda attached. The evil that is prevailing in order to condition and desensitize the masses are being forced down the throats of the many who choose to be devoured by the wiles of Satan. Afterall, Satan's job is to make sin appear good, fun and appealing. So as I was flipping through the channels, I was appalled at what I saw! Just the titles alone were enough to cause my spirit to stand at attention and cause alarm deeply within! Here are just a few examples of what I saw or read.

1)"Lucifer" - This is a new series coming out this month on FOX, is about the devil taking up residence in Los Angeles, California. It is "supposed" to be a comedic take on Satan and his "beautiful" demon and IS portraying Lucifer as being "good" and with a "good conscience." They portray him as handsome, charming and witty. Just a FEW snippets of what has been "said" about this diabolical show is, "The Lord of Hell who is bored of his life, abdicates and becomes a consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) while running his own nightclub called Lux. Among other powers, he has a supernatural awareness of any person's hidden desires and can compel them to speak the truth. He enjoys using these abilities to expose sinners in public." Also being said is, "He gives bad a good name." Totally disgusting that this trash is allowed to be on regular network television! This is nothing to "joke" about and it's nothing to poke fun at. What this is doing and will do, is poke fun at Christians, Christianity and everything Good that God has done and IS to this earth He has created! And who would think a series about Lucifer is "funny?" Not me.

2) "Angel from Hell" -  "This new series airing on CBS centers around an unlikely friendship formed when a larger-than-life, nutty woman, Amy (Jane Lynch), claims to be the guardian angel of another woman, Allison (Maggie Lawson), who can’t decide if Amy’s actually an angel or if she’s just a plain crazy, inebriated, outspoken nut, until every one of her warnings proves true." Also being said of this series is, "She may be crazy. She may be inappropriate. She may be inebriated. But like an angel, she is always there for you...whether you like it or not." I might add at this point that the "Angel from Hell" is also being played by Jane Lynch, who is an openly gay lesbian. Even the picture that is promoting this travesty shows her with a flask to insinuate drunkenness.

3) "Damien" - "This new series on A&E follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the 1976 motion picture, Omen, who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny - that he is the Antichrist." Also being said is, "After discovering his origins, Damien Thorn must cope with life as the Anti-Christ." 

4) "Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments" - (May also be called just Shadowhunters) airing on  ABC Family. Here is the description of what it's supposed to be about. "Clary Fray is a normal teenager living in Brooklyn with her mother. One day, she discovers that she is descended from a line of Shadowhunters; humans born with angelic blood that fight to protect our world from demons. She trips into the Shadow world that’s always been there - a world of vampires, warlocks, and Shadowhunters, human-ish people with angel blood in them that police the supernatural world. After her mother is kidnapped, Clary must team up with these Shadowhunters: Jace, Alec and Isabelle and her best friend Simon on a quest to find her mother and recover her past." It is important to note here that it was the FALLEN "angels" that mated with humans in the Bible which were called the Nephilim. Genesis 6:1-4. One of the biggest reasons the flood washed and cleansed the earth of the vile and evil doings of the fallen angels. THIS storyline, in NO way, is anything more than a mockery of the Bible. If you do any kind of research into the "shadow people" you will find these are nothing more than demons. This is not a show of angelic beings but rather, the fallen angels of the devil himself.

5) "Preacher" - "This airs on AMC  and is Jesse Custer, played by Dominic Cooper, a Texas preacher with supernatural power. He, after merging with an otherworldly being, sets out to find God himself. He teams up with Tulip, his ex, and Cassidy, an Irish vampire and the trio will work together to face down the agents of Heaven and Hell. Preacher is based on the Vertigo comic book series, and adapted by Sam Catlin (of Breaking Bad.) Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are also executive producers. We are familiar with the types of movies Seth Rogen plays in and produces. A preacher, who is actually a "priest" is searching for God AND has supernatural powers. The simple fact that this "ex-preacher/priest" is teaming up with a VAMPIRE searching for God begs the question: Which God? The Creator God or the "god" of this world? No Christian would "align" themselves with the "dead" to search for God.

This is in addition to all of the well known series already flooding the televisions all across the world! There is an onslaught of evil, mockery, blasphemy and corruption entering in the homes of millions! Many mistakenly believe it's harmless entertainment. Oh, the lies of Satan! There are numerous "alien" series dealing with an invasion of the extra terrestrials. We mustn't forget the overkill of Zombie series either with the premise of being "resurrected" back to life from the dead and wandering around cannibalizing other human beings. Oh, and, how about the several vampire shows that have such a cult following? Yes, vampires. Human blood drinking, vampires that have to drink the blood of humans to "live forever." Let's make just ONE comparison to Vampires. Vampires make sacrifices. Blood is their main ingredient. They "bite" their "victims" and their victims then have ETERNAL LIFE as a vampire. Their victims are also their sacrifices. Does ANY of this ring a bell of similarity to Christ's sacrificial blood? To God's sacrificing His only Begotten Son? To His children having ETERNAL LIFE? Vampires are prominently night lovers and ALL evil is associated with the night! The vampires and zombies seem to be a world wide obsession and it's a dangerous one at that! All of this as entertainment, I might add. Ephesians 5:11, "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them." In order to expose the unfruitful works of darkness, one must recognize the rotten fruit in the first place!

Our Christian, God given responsibility goes far beyond just abstaining from the "works of darkness." We're also called to expose them. If we ignore evil, it's the same thing as to encourage it, and to keep silent about it is to help in the promotion of it. The verb translated as "expose" (from elegchō) can also carry the meaning of reproof, correction, punishment, or discipline. We are to confront sin with intolerance, not silence it nor ignore it. We've all heard the saying, "If you ignore it, it'll go away." Well, that saying HAD to have come from Satan himself because NOTHING we ignore EVER goes away. In order for a problem to be solved and resolved, it has to be confronted and dealt with. In order for anything to get a resolution, it has to be confronted, exposed and resolved. Ignoring something only makes it grow larger than life. Internally and eventually externally. Sometimes exposure and reproof will need to be direct, yet other times indirect. However, no matter if it's direct or indirect, it should ALWAYS be immediate. When we're living in obedience to God, obeying His voice and directives, that fact, in and of itself, will be a strong testimony against wrong. I recently came up against this very thing. Our office was going to a staff meeting and two of us were riding together. The co-worker told me to meet them outside at 8:00 am. and we'd take off from there. I informed my co-worker we didn't need to leave that early as it was only a 35-40 minute drive. My co-worker said nobody will be the wiser and we can leave early and not come in the office. I smiled politely and said, "No, I don't do deception. Lies always catch up with you and I'm not willing to take that risk. Besides, it's not only deceptive but it's stealing too." My co-worker knew this was a losing battle but asked me how it was "stealing." I went on to explain it would be "stealing" money for time not worked. Milking the clock, if you will. I was being challenged and tested. We didn't speak about this again for a few days, when, out of the blue, my co-worker, who was driving, asked me, "So, if we leave at 9:00 am, would that be ok? It'd give us a few extra minutes for traffic." I smiled and said, "Perfect. We'll leave from here at 9." This was the works of the Lord Jesus Christ working through me to be a beacon of light to squash the lies of Satan. I was strong enough to refuse to be caught in the darkness because of who I AM in Jesus Christ!

When those around us see us walking uprightly, helping those in need rather than exploiting them, hearing us talking with purity instead of profanity, and observing us speaking truthfully rather than deceitfully, our example will be the perfect rebuke against any selfishness, unwholesome talk, and lies. It will be the perfect example in shining the Light of Truth in the darkness of lies and evil. By simply refusing to participate in a dishonest business practice can be enough of a testimony of WHO we belong to that it influences those around us to do the right thing as well. It's called conviction. In some instances, refusal of partaking in dishonest or shady business or social practices can even sometimes be such a strong rebuke that it eventually will cost us our job, friendship or relationship. Dishonesty tends to be terribly uncomfortable in the presence of truth, even when there is no verbal or other direct opposition. Today, ignoring sin seems to be so popular because the Word of God isn't being preached in its fullness. Truth isn't being taught behind the pulpits because the Truth is convicting and it's not full of the feel-good fluff that is permeating the pews these days. Sadly many can't even discern good from evil at this point! What is evil is being accepted as good and normal and what is good is being accepted as bad and abnormal.

The media is in the business to condition, influence and gain access to a large amount of the mass population. Those who spread evil ideas through the written words of a play, the clothing designs of the top fashion designers, a movie script, music and television, do so precisely to win over those who hear and see them. There will always be those who receive such ideas. You see, the media doesn't expose evil ideas as evil nor do they promote evil as evil. It all is often portrayed by them as correct, good, credible and/or accurate. I am CERTAIN many, many good and wholesome and pleasant things come before those who are in charge of what is "allowed" to be printed, written, sung or produced. Those good, wholesome, moral scripts won't ever see the light of day, excuse the pun. Ultimately, someone has to make the decision in what they believe will be the "money makers" and what will ultimately be the biggest influential properties of the business. In the bigger picture, those in power are the ones who decide these things. They decide what reaches the masses. Someone is deciding what the "public" wants to know, see, read, hear, wear, watch, look like and what to BELIEVE in. Unfortunately, those who are in charge of all of the programs on television and in the movies have absolutely NO fear of God. Nor do they have ANY respect for His Word! This can be backed up by what is being mass produced even as I'm writing this! What we need to ask is WHO do THEY work for? WHO is THEIR boss? Well, it won't take long to figure it out because the highest grossing artists, movie stars and writers pay a price for their fame. That isn't a secret. The more money one makes in the industry, the more they sacrificed. There is a price to pay for fame. It's always been that way and always will be that way. Sad, but true. Matthew 16:26 comes to mind! "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" There are many well off Christians that God has blessed but they are not the "rich and famous" we see in the entertainment industry. Two totally different kinds of "riches" that we are talking about here!

We are living in a crazy, messed up evil world, a world that is full of worries, fear, anger, hate, violence and uncertainty as foretold by Paul in 2 Timothy 3:1-4, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God," Many people like to "use" entertainment as a way of escape if you will, from all the struggles of this broken world and to forget the worries of the day. But you see, the entertainment industry is HUGE business, and it's all around us! Satan knew exactly how to "distract" us and bring us to another "place" that many are searching for. The horrible thing is, it's NOT Satan and his wiles that we should be seeking a safe haven in, it should be CHRIST! He will de-stress us. He will comfort us. He will provide the safe haven for us to reside in. He will give us peace from our worries. He does NOT need to distract US in order to do so.  Matthew 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Are we going to the TV, music, magazines, movies, games and anything else that appears to be "entertainment" instead of Christ to rest and to distract us? Has entertainment become our primary comforter and pacifier, instead of the Spirit of Truth, who alone is the true Comforter? As I look around, it would appear that way to me.

More and more research is coming out about TV - how it affects the brain, impedes the development of social skills, how it influences decision making, how it impedes the development of empathy for others and induces hyper-activity, violent outbursts and other socially unacceptable behaviors. But what about the spiritual aspect of the entertainment industry? Since they are extreme liberals with cultic belief systems, pushing the agendas of their beliefs upon those who will watch and listen and read what they put out, it would only make sense that the spirit would be in jeopardy as well. Satan is so good at concealing his identity to those who can't discern the Truth and he uses his demons to lure in the helpless into his lair of lies and sin. The spirit WILL suffer. As conscious beings, we are constantly required to make decisions in every area of our lives, every waking moment of our lives and, perhaps without even realizing it, we do it either for the Creator God or the Devil. Each choice we make to watch something, is a conscious choice for the good or the bad. The choice of watching television/movies or not is probably one of the major choices we can make in this, sometimes unbearable conflict of worship of good or evil. There is no other medium that has captured the thoughts, dreams, fantasies and imaginations of so many lives than that of the television/movies. And with so many hours as the TV offers, it's no wonder it's deemed such an important part of so many people's daily lives. I am concentrating primarily on the television/movies as this is a trend I'm seeing much more evil prevailing and it's beginning to suck in the youth of our time. The little, young impressionable ones. Subliminally the marketing guru's are quite adept at hiding something in plain sight and it inevitably gets conditioned into the minds of the innocents.

People! Friends! Readers! There is a WAR ON GOD FROM HOLLYWEIRD!! As evidenced by the new shows coming out, and I was only going to name a few, along with the others mentioned, there are also others still that are now slipping in a "politically correct" character (s) or slipping in "political" hot topic agendas. They're all in it together. BE VIGILANT as you choose what to watch, music you listen to, play, or hear. Part of the war on God is through Gnosticism (Knowledge). The doctrines of any of various dualistic sects among the Jews and the early Christians who claimed possession of superior spiritual knowledge, explained the creation of the world in an emanational manner, and condemned matter as evil.  www.thefreedictionary.com  Gnosticism comes from the Greek word Gnosis which literally means knowledge, but it's not book knowledge but rather, a "secret" knowledge that essentially resides inside you, i.e. you ARE God. ANYTHING "secret" or "hidden" is forbidden by God and the Bible. Luke 8:17, "For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light." and also in Luke 12:2-3, "But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. "Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops." We should be VERY wary of this cult and reject anything it has to say and teach. First of all, it's a cult. Secondly, in its essence this was the very enticing lie of Satan to Eve in the Garden of Eden. To the Gnostics, the knowledge of sin is a good thing and leads one closer to be as "A" god. A LIE from Satan because we all know he wanted to BE God and look where it got him! They also tend to "successfully" turn the idea of God into an angry "god" - a god that was cast out of a greater universe into a lesser unknown universe to become the devil, while Satan becomes the savior of the humans. VERY DANGEROUS STUFF HERE!!! Satan is cunning and he has deceived many by reeling them right in using the media to help him along. This is known as inverted hermeneutic, turning the character of God upside down, from a loving Father to an angry and revengeful god, while in the meantime turning Satan into the savior of the human race.

This blasphemous idea of God is Satan and Satan is God is clearly rampant within Hollywood. It can be seen in nearly every HIGH dollar movie or popular television series. Hollywood has billions to spend on its agenda and has had plenty of years of spreading that agenda through the hi-tech, high-speed world of movies, TV and now filtering through the Internet. There are many movies and television series that have successfully and deliberately tried to turn the character of God into looking like Satan as well as making Satan’s character like God’s, which in turn, and is their end primary result, making Satan’s evil character look good. It is here that I will repeat Isaiah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" I'm going to name some of the more well-known, popular money makers that have pushed this agenda and has set forth the dangerous teachings right before your very eyes. "The Matrix, Transformers, Pan's Labyrinth,  X-Men, The Da Vinci Code, Constantine, Fight Club, Truman Show, Pleasantville, Total Recall, From Hell, League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Harry Potter, Bladerunner, Minority Report and so on." As stated previously the brain is one of the most important parts of the body as it houses the mind and the Bible clearly says that we should protect the mind: 1 Peter 1:13, "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." So my question that I have is, "What are we beholding? Are we beholding Gnostic teachings that are found in MANY of the productions, television and movies, and therefore becoming gnostic in belief and thought without even REALIZING it, or are we beholding Christ and becoming like Christ?"

The entertainment industry has one agenda....to promote the dark side. The music industry is a very powerful industry. It's one of the most lucrative "businesses" Satan has going on next to the movies and television. I'll spend just a little bit on this side because it's all considered "entertainment." Satan was the angel of music worship. He was beautiful and the leader. He uses music as a weapon and a tool to make the masses succumb to his evil darkness. ~Aristotle said, "Music directly represents the passions of the soul. If one listens to the wrong kind of music, he will become the wrong kind of person." And no truer words could be spoken any better! It isn't a big secret that the music industry has a huge impact on the direction of our culture and the direction of the society that encompasses us. When the industry’s biggest stars, top of the chart, money makers are totally "obsessed" with the macabre, sinister and perverted and their performances and music videos all primarily promote evil acts, demonic possession and darkness, what kind of culture do you expect would be created from this? Will spiritual values survive in a world where darkness is increasingly embraced and glorified? Will the spiritual values be elevated and survive in a world where evil and increasing darkness is celebrated? Music grabs us when we're young and impressionable. When our innocence is still prevalent. When our minds still aren't fully developed as we emulate whatever celebrity we are "idolizing." As a young impressionable person, consequences aren't always thought of because it's not something that has been learned or developed fully just yet. Within the music industry alone, there is a lack of moral coding and there's an undercurrent strictly opposed to the values of spirituality, Christianity and inner development. There also happens to be a tide of outright opposition to Jesus Christ and sin. It celebrates everything that the Bible warns us against. These popular artists, in their very own spoken words, are "fascinated," "obsessed" and "embrace" things of darkness, things of the dark side. This eventually then spreads all throughout society due to their influence.

Darkness Can't Extinguish His Light!

Beyond glorifying excessive materialism, broken families, cannibalism, rape, substance abuse, eating disorders, pedophilia, murder and sexual violence, often to cheers from the viewing audience, many popular actors and actresses promote shocking acts that links to dark occultism. Some are blatantly set before you, while others are cleverly hidden in plain sight, i.e., symbolism and overt references. There are numerous occult references in several programs, not to mention many more overt occult shows like Paranormal Activity, Long Island Medium, Ghost Stories, What on Earth? and several more in the making. Mediums seem to be the promotion of the "stars" because if a star endorses it, then it must be "true." Movies and television shows use what is aptly called "predictive programming." This method is meant to literally program us by using fiction, (or in some instances distorted non-fiction) and the power of suggestion to create a desired outcome. It is life imitating art. The power of suggestion is a POWERFUL tool.....and weapon! Television at best is a simulated reality for many people, evidenced by all the "reality" shows that aren't reality at all. Every show has an element of brainwashing by repetition and it's just like Satan too because he can't "create" anything new. Only God can create newness. Satan relies on repetition and brainwashing because it's all he's got. Use the old tried and true and voila! Mind control is born. You see, television is addictive. It's PSYCHOLOGICALLY addictive! It was designed to be more addictive than any drug that is being manufactured today. The devil slowing introduced this "device" and little by little, it grew more and more perverse with each passing decade. You see, television is part of the bigger "picture" because it plays a huge role in forming minds, thoughts and opinions. But not just any thoughts and opinions. The "elite's" thoughts and opinions, the ungodly, the haters of God and the lovers of "iniquity."

Shall we just take a moment at this injunction to look at some of the quotes of actors, directors, moguls from their very own mouths and see their insidious influence of evil firsthand? Very few people realize that there is an intense dark spiritual side of acting that seemingly goes all the way back to the Greek theater. The best actors in the Greek theater of their time were believed to be literally possessed by the entities (demons) they sought to portray on stage. So now, many occultists, like Aleister Crowley, taught that acting and assuming the role of a particular demon was the fastest way to come into contact with a demonic entity. Many actors and actresses have openly credited their success to the demon possession of a spirit entity. Shirley McClain, has also admitted spirit possession when acting.
1) Susan Sarandon - "All movies are important and they are dangerous you go into a little dark room and become vulnerable it could completely misshape you."
2) Johnny Depp - "I know that I have demons. I don't know if I want to get rid of them altogether, but I would like to experience them in a different way." And another harrowing quote, "Sometimes I feel like I’m possessed with a multitude of demons. I know I have demons. I’m 30 different people sometimes. Once my job is done on the film, it’s just not any of my business. I stay as far as I could as possible. I don’t like watching myself. He’s up there/demon."
3) Keanu Reeves - "I attempt to connect with my muse and go on demon rides."
4) Kevin Bacon - attributes his successful acting to what he calls "demons under the surface, and as an actor you have to keep them bubbling." Another part of the quote, "Part of acting is to lose yourself in the moment, to let the chaos or the muse come and just enter and happen organically. Demons under the surface." As a side note, he has starred in Footloose and also in the demonic HollowMan and has also portrayed the likes of homosexuals, rapists, occult initiates, liars and thieves. 
5) Steven Spielberg - demonstrates the unscrupulous attitude prevalent among today’s directors by stating, "I want people to love my movies, and I'll be a wh*#e to get them into the theaters."
6) Oprah Winfrey - "I ask my body to be the carrier for the spirits of those who have come before me in a way that is most meaningful to the character. Just become the vehicle for that character. I tried to empty myself and let the spirit of Sethe inhabit me."

I'm choosing to not post anymore as I believe you can see just how evil and satanic Hollyweird and the entertainment industry really is. What you DON'T know about actors, actresses, and their ilk, CAN hurt you because as you can see from these few instances, and I assure you the list is EXHAUSTIVE, they are summoning and receiving demonic spirits. These people who you are giving your hard earned money to, are in DIRECT OPPOSITION to the Lord God! And many many more cannot utter the name of Jesus Christ from their lips. They will say, "god" but not be referring TO God. It's god with a little "g" because it's the god of this world, Satan. It is of the utmost importance that you understand, truly understand, that directors, actors, actresses, producers and the rest of the "crew" that it takes to finalize the finished product that gets promoted to the public is full of the occult, influenced by Satan and his demons and what you choose to watch and let into your mind, thoughts and spirit, could EASILY contain an entity through the media. These quotes clearly come from the dark side, a side that nobody should want to tamper with, innocently or knowingly! Hollywood spews out trash, vile, evil trash, to numb and condition us. It holds the actors, actresses, producers, writers, editors, directors, and everyone in between, hostage to the icy grip of fame and fortune and greed. The kind of television programs and movies that are violent, degrading, and destructive to moral values offends the Spirit of the Lord. Plain and simple.

John 8:12, "I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows Me, shall never walk in DARKNESS, (emphasis mine) but will have the light of life."

1 John 1:5, "This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all."

James 2:19, "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!"

Isaiah 8:20, "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." 

1 John 2:15- "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Darkness hates the light!!! But the Light shines brightest IN the darkness. Jesus IS Light. Satan is darkness. Jesus IS TRUTH and Satan is LIES. See the connection there?! John 1:4-5, "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." The evil that is prevailing in the world today is coming at us in every direction. There are some things we can't control but those that we CAN, we MUST. We can control what we watch, what movies we spend God's money on, what music we listen to and what book/articles/papers we read! Everything we allow IN, we will become a by-product OF! Satan is running rampant today! He knows his time is running out and he is upping his game. He is forcing much of his vile sins down our throats and taking away our choices. He is using the media to promote every sickness available to desensitize, condition and control. We born-again Christians are God's representatives here on earth to shine as lights. In Philippians 2:15, it says, "that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world," We are living in that time and generation now more than ever! This wicked, wicked world is twisted spiritually and morally, following its own fading patterns while refusing to recognize, accept or receive God’s values, will and plan. Mankind will go to great lengths to evade the truth in order to follow their own darkened, self-centered and purely self-gratifying reasoning. The crookedness and perversity of the modern world is so pervasive and obvious that it doesn't warrant any further explanation nor examples. Those with eyes can SEE! A "perverse" and "crooked" generation that Paul was referring to in the above mentioned verse is referring to the unsaved. Paul used these words specifically and purposefully to describe the entire unbelieving world. We can see this same statement is found also in Deuteronomy 32:5, "They have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation." Paul borrowed this phrase from Deuteronomy, where Moses describes unfaithful & rebellious Israel as a people who had become "a perverse and crooked generation." Paul aptly applied that description of ancient Israel to the unsaved and corrupt humanity of even his own day. The long and short of it all is, the world was then, as it is now, under the control of an evil satanic system. (John 12:31; Acts 26:18; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2 and 6:12; 1 John 5:19)

Jesus is the ONLY Light that can extinguish the darkness! The prophet Zacharias spoke of Jesus as the coming "Sunrise from on high," who, in Luke 1:78-79, "Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; 79) To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace." Jesus Christ's birth brings the Light of life into our darkness, into the darkened world! His Light is our WAY! All the New Testament writers agree in one way or another that in the coming of Jesus the Christ, the light of God's love has dawned in our darkness. Paul exclaims in 2 Corinthians 4:6, "For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." The light of His grace and truth shines in every darkness and in every dark place. So in this darkness that we are surrounded by in our lives, around every corner, on every street, through the media and in the homes, we need to remember that we are His children who will become blameless and harmless to shine as lights in this darkened world. We need to remember that the ONLY hope we have is the Light of Jesus Christ shining in the dark, illuminating His love! John 8:12 says, "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." This is a life-altering, life-changing verse!! If you see it for what it is, and you see Him for WHO He IS, then it will change your life! It simply says that following Jesus is basically much more than just tagging along behind Him. It means following Him for who He is. It's saying that being so taken with Him, you join yourself TO Him. Notice that when you follow Him, he says you have Him as your Light! If you follow Him, He says He is yours. He is your Shepherd and your Sacrifice and your Living Water and your Bread from Heaven and your God, and your Light.

We are dead and blinded to the Light until the life of Jesus Christ is imparted to us by God's Spirit, and then we see, then our eyes are opened! We see the Light! The eyes of our hearts are fully opened, the veil has been lifted and His Divine light streams into our living spirits. The light of life. The light that comes from a brand new, spiritual, eye-opening life, the life that gives sight to the blind soul, eternal life giving eternal sight.

If you don't have the Light of Jesus Christ in YOUR life, I invite you now, right here, right now, to believe in Him, to receive Him as your personal Savior, to admit you are a sinner, repent of your sins. Ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness! Ask Him to be your Light that removes the darkness from your life! Believe in Him, His virgin birth, His death on the cross to pay our sin debt in full, and His resurrection three days later. I invite you to come out from the darkness and into His Light No matter what you've done, how "bad" you THINK you've been, no matter the sins you've committed, He WILL forgive you if you come to Him just as you ARE. You don't have to do anything before you come before Him. You just need to seek His face, trust in his grace and Mercy and believe He IS who He IS! He will receive you with open arms and is waiting for your heart to cry out for Him! In the precious name of Jesus Christ, I pray for each of your who are lost and unsaved, to find the Light of our Savior! He's waiting.....and He will shine His Light into your darkness!
