Proverbs
18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and
those who love it will eat its fruit."

| Power in Our Words! |
Sometimes
when we speak, we are not aware of the power of the words that come
out of our mouths. Nor how they could cause dramatic situations or
feelings in our lives and others. Most people speak before thinking
what they want to say or filtering how they choose to say it. How
many times have we spoken something into existence from our lips and
tongue never really knowing it even manifested due to our lips and
tongues? Our words DO manifest and become real, they go out into the
atmosphere to complete what we've spoken. They can and will effect
the listener's attitude, outlook, internal emotions and can trigger
the best of us. That's why it's so important to carefully and wisely
watch what rolls off of our tongues, especially out of anger, hurt or
pain. Angry, painful and hurtful words can cause death to the spirit,
but kind, loving and uplifting words puts life into the spirit. As
with every single action we take or about to take, the Holy Spirit
gives us a split second "talking to" to direct us in the
RIGHT decision. A warning to NOT do something is just as powerful as
His prompting TO do something. Obedience in both ways are imperative.
Well, the same holds true with our words we speak to others, and in
this world of social media, for others. If we're angry, hurt, jealous
or in pain about something, then the "natural, fleshly"
thing we WANT to do is to lash out verbally against our
"perpetrators" that caused those emotions to surface in the
first place. However, that ISN'T what Jesus would want from us.
That's why the Holy Spirit sends out that little, small voice, and in
some instances, a SCREAMING THUNDEROUS LOUD voice, to warn us to hold
our tongue! To not speak "death" into an already traumatic
situation. To not speak negatively but to hold back our wrath from
our tongues, pray for those words to leave and to think clearly
before speaking. The more we are in tune with this practice and of
hearing His prompting, the less inclined we will be to desire to
speak the way many people are speaking in these videos. If we find
ourselves unable to clearly think before we speak, then it's just
wise to step away and not say anything until maybe a later time. This
is very hard to do, but it CAN be done!
How
do I know? Because I've had a lot of practice in this area! I've
lashed out before thinking and didn't wait for the Lord to give me KIND
words. I saw what damage it eventually ended up doing down the road,
not to mention it wasn't the best testimony of how turning over my
life to Jesus Christ changed me or my heart. Remember, we're always a work in progress because we're always having to go to battle. On the other hand, as I
continually kept getting practice on holding my tongue and learning
the hard way how not to lash out through the flesh when I've been angry,
hurt, and in pain and my perception of the entire situation changed right
before my eyes. I didn't take it personally. I didn't feel the "need"
to lash out and verbally assault them the way that they just verbally
assaulted me. I remember clearly, that first time that I obeyed the
Holy Spirit and thought clearly before I spoke, how DIFFERENT the
words actually were that came to me and out of me! It was amazing. It
was freeing. But more than that, it was healing! Both to my spirit
and to the one that I spoke kindly back to. It was then, at that
moment, that I began to live what I read and heard in my spirit all
of those years! I understood it in a much different way. It took a
long time to get a real grip on this new me, but I've learned that
lesson! Do I sometimes slip up and lash out in the flesh? Of course! I'm also almost immediately convicted, repent and try harder
the next time around. We're still human living in a fallen world so
we will slip up, we'll crash and fall. But there's a difference between slipping up every
now and then and outright disobeying the Lord and continuing on a
destructive path with your words with intent! All that means is one isn't willing
to submit and surrender and chooses to remain in their old ways. But
God can change every single thing about you if you allow Him to do
so! Some things take longer than others, no doubt about that! Only
God knows why that is too and those things we struggle with over and
over are the very things He uses to draw us nearer to Him and to
witness to others and to keep us relying on Him! So, as I look around this fallen
world right now, the words being used so freely and without thought, are vulgar and full of contempt. It's a
sad state we are living in as a human race. But it's a sinful world
and the devil is gathering up his pawns for his upcoming game,
albeit, short-lived, defeated and unsuccessful!
What
brings me to this revelation, although it's not new to me, was
watching videos on one of the popular platforms on the internet. I
remember just a few short years ago, watching funny cat/animal videos
weren't peppered with profanity of the worst kind. I remember just a
few short years ago, I could pull up videos that would otherwise be
family friendly and entertaining, but now they are full of vulgarity,
profanity, and some very inappropriate narrations. This troubled my
spirit greatly because I think about how many young, even very small,
children go searching these same videos to laugh and chuckle and be
entertained only to be faced and bombarded with some horrible
language, inappropriate words to songs that some people use in their
compilations, and suggestive dance. All of it is unnecessary! There
is no reason for that type of language on supposedly family friendly
videos. If it upsets my spirit to hear this kind of language, I
shudder to think what those poor impressionable children are learning
and feeling. Afterall, they learn from the adults and if the adults
are making this type of vulgarity “normal,” then those children
and young adults will think it's “normal” and “ok” to talk
that way, too. It's such a shame! And I've noticed more and more
girls, young ladies and women are using the same vulgar language and
it just sounds so nasty. I suppose they think they sound “cool”
and find nothing wrong with it. After the massive snow storms that
hit across the US, there were so many videos posting to the platform
with headlines that would appear to make them funny and entertaining.
Those were the ones I would click on only to be immediately met with
someone narrating it with some very disturbing language! It was felt
in my spirit and although the videos were funny, the narrations made
them unbearable to watch. They would have been just as funny without
the colorful language, if not even funnier. Don't those people
realize the ages that will be viewing them? Or don't they care? I
would venture to say they don't care. I believe they speak like that
on the regular basis so it's obviously not offensive to them and they
don't feel it necessary to filter what they do choose to say. It
makes it difficult to even find some humor and light entertainment to
take our minds off of the world falling apart around us!
When
God created the heavens and the earth he spoke it into existence.
With His voice! That's it! That's power in the tongue! When He said
let there be light, there was light. The light obeyed and became into
existence. His word says we will do greater works which is another
spoken word over us that will manifest in our lives because we are
His children. We have to receive it and believe it! Since the Lord
said we WILL do greater works, and the Word says the POWER is in our
tongue, we should be able to speak to that bad situation in our lives
and let it be moved. We don't need to speak OF the problem, but
rather speak about the solution through the Word. The enemy is
behind all of the negativity that we speak, every foul word that
flows from the mouth, every bad thought we allow to be spoken from
our tongues. The enemy gets us to continue speaking negative words to
get us entangled in what I call mind battles! Why is that? First and
foremost, he wants us to feel defeated and ignore the Word of our
Father! To him, ignorance really IS bliss. The enemy doesn't want us
to renew our minds like the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12:3,
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the
will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." The
enemy definitely doesn't want us to know the power WE have through
the Lord Jesus Christ to speak to situations! The Bible says that
God's people perish from lack of knowledge! As you can see, knowledge
is POWER!
Romans
12:2 tells us, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may
discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and
perfect." You see, changing the way you think ultimately
changes your perspective, A change in your perspective changes what
flows out of your hearts and how you act in the world. Paul’s words
aren’t anything new. "Change your mind" is the
central and powerful theme of Jesus’ first sermon in Matthew
4:17, "From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent,
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Jesus challenged the
people to change their ways and patterns of thinking because it
doesn't matter how many times you read through the Bible, or parts of
it, if your mind doesn’t change in the way that it thinks, then you
will just impose your personal biases and labels on the words you
read instead of reading and digesting what was actually meant by
Jesus' words. The purpose of changing our thoughts and ways of
thinking, is two-fold. First of all as we are warned in Mark
7:20-22, "And he said, “What comes out of a person is what
defiles him. 21) For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil
thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22) coveting,
wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness."
Our thoughts become who we are and will fall approximately 18 inches
down from our brains right into our hearts! It can definitely produce
many harmful issues in our lives if we don't change those thoughts.
So, good thoughts, positive thoughts, godly thoughts, wholesome
thoughts will produce the same that flow from our hearts. But as
stated in Mark 7:20-22 above, evil thoughts produce evil and
dark actions that flow from our hearts. Secondly, our thoughts can
sabotage our faith! We are told to take our thoughts captive in 2
Corinthians 10:5, "casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every
thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ," That is
pretty powerful because think about a time in your life when a
thought suddenly "popped" into your head that was not
wholesome or godly, but fleshly in nature, and you didn't take it
captive. It inevitably turned into sin that flowed from your heart.
And remember, too, when we change our thoughts and minds, we also
will not desire to speak vile and vulgarly as the devil wants us to!
Our words will change as well and that is powerful! You see, with our
words, we also place thoughts into others, whether they are good,
bad, happy, sad or any other emotion. We have a great responsibility
with our words.
Our
minds have the capacity for evil....to think evil thoughts, to think
bad thoughts, to think diabolical thoughts, to think less than holy
thoughts. Those thoughts sometimes become who we become if it's all
we think. The Apostle Paul was intensely aware of the mind's capacity
for evil thoughts. Someone can dwell upon lustful thoughts, wrong
thoughts about some member of the opposite sex. Another person may
seethe with jealousy and envy in his mind toward other people that
they may be comparing themselves to. While others still are so
desperately consumed with pride and with overly high thoughts about
themselves. The "works of the flesh" in Galatians
5 is a long list of sins, many of which are sins of the mind.
Let's see what Galatians 5:19-21 has to say, "Now the
works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lewdness, 20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions,
jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions,
heresies, 21) envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of
which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past,
that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of
God." So if you really look long and hard at those "works"
you will easily find the sins begin in the mind, with thoughts that
begin to take up residence and they can, and will, become spoken
words.
Let's
go back to God's gift of the spoken word being given to only mankind.
It was not given to any other living being in His Creation, only to
man. You see, when someone becomes a Christian, there is a clear and
present expectancy that a change in the way we speak will follow that
decision because living for Christ and through Christ makes an impact
and a big difference in the words that are chosen! As we know, a
sinner's mouth is as told to us in Romans 3:14, "Whose mouth
is full of cursing and bitterness." but when we submit our
lives over to Jesus Christ, we gladly confess with our mouths that
"Jesus is Lord." You see, before we were saved, we
lived in a spiritual death as told to us in Ephesians 2:1-3, "And
you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2) in which
you once walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the
sons of disobedience, 3) among whom also we all once conducted
ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the
flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as
the others." In Romans 3:13, Paul describes those who
are dead in sin: "Their throat is an open tomb; With their
tongues they have practiced deceit"; "The poison of asps is
under their lips";" I can't stress how important those
words actually are! Paul was exact in his words and used some very
powerful words to convey his message! On the flip side, our words can
be filled with blessings when our hearts are filled with blessings.
So if we fill our hearts with the love of Christ, only truth and
purity can, and will, come out of our mouths. It is a struggle every
single day to hold our tongues but it's a struggle that must be
fought and battled so others can see, and "feel" the Love
of Jesus through our transformation!
Words
can comfort a grieving heart, or it can be the cause of that grief.
Words can make you laugh, or they can make you cry. They can cause
much happiness or cause much sorrow. They can break someone down or
they can build them up. They can make someone sick or they can heal
someone. They can stir the spirit or they can calm the spirit. Let's just take a few minutes and see what some of the
Scriptures say about the tongue:
1)
Proverbs 12:18, "There is one who speaks like the piercings of a
sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health."
2)
Matthew 15:18, "But those things which proceed out of the mouth
come from the heart, and they defile a man."
3)
Proverbs 16:24, "Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness
to the soul and health to the bones."
4)
Matthew 12:37, "For by your words you will be justified, and by
your words you will be condemned."
5)
Proverbs 21:23, "Whoever guards his mouth and tongue Keeps his
soul from troubles."
6)
Colossians 3:8, "But now you yourselves are to put off all
these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your
mouth."
7)
Psalm 19:14, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my
heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my
Redeemer."
8)
James 1:26, "If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and
does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s
religion is useless."
9)
Proverbs 15:4, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But
perverseness in it breaks the spirit."
10)
Luke 6:45, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart
brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his
heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his
mouth speaks."
This
is definitely not all-inclusive but you can see just how important
the emphasis is on the power of the tongue and our responsibility to
control it! There are many passages that speak about the tongue and
the power of words. The tongue can speak the truth or it can tell
lies as in Proverbs 12:19 states, "The truthful lip shall be
established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment." We
should all aspire to speak the truth so the words endure forever!
There is a lasting effect of truthful words and as it stated above,
"a lying tongue is but for a moment." If we really stop and
think about the power of our tongue, it's quite overwhelming and
disheartening to think what kind of drama, trauma or negativity we
caused in our own lives, and the lives of others! Many people don't
think about the words they speak about themselves causing trouble to
manifest, but it does! It's not just a warning for us to guard our
tongues towards others, but to ourselves as well. We cause some of
our own collateral damage by convincing ourselves we aren't worthy,
we aren't smart enough, we are good enough, we aren't pretty/handsome enough,
we aren't skinny/strong enough, we aren't rich enough, we aren't successful
enough and so on. That's a tool of the enemy and he loves to use it
whenever and wherever he can find a willing, yet weakened,
participant! This is where I will point out our own "willingness" to speak in vulgar ways with vulgar vile words as is being done all throughout the videos mentioned above! Every single one of those people chose, willingly, to use the profanity. They chose to talk that way. They chose to disregard everyone else, including our children with little innocent ears. I can't excuse that behavior, all I know is that they need Jesus in their lives! They need the Holy spirit to convict them to turn from those bad choices, to turn from their sinful ways. As Christians, we are not to judge the unsaved as that is the job of the Lord Jesus Christ, however, we are to righteously judge our brothers and sisters in Christ and I can be certain, there were Christians speaking those vile words. I pray for them! The
enemy will use our own words AGAINST us! So YES! Words do have power!
In the natural, physical world they can hurt or heal one's feelings,
heart, hurts and attitudes. However, in the spiritual world, they are
simply containers of power that, when opened and loosed, can
literally change your life, direct your future, and allow you to get
your life aligned with God's Will! Not only that, but words carry
God's Power to literally heal your body, bring Light into the
darkness, bring financial blessing to your circumstances, provide for
your needs, heal your mind, mend brokenness, bring joy into your
heart and bring the promises of God's Word directly into this natural
realm to bless you and your family! I mean, in reality, WORDS created
the Universe through God speaking TO it! THAT'S POWER! It's funny how so many "voices" are being "cancelled" and "censored" yet all of the unwholesome, ungodly, evil and nasty voices are being praised and pushed to the front of the line. The end times are nearing and culminating swiftly....be prepared!

| Words Heal! |
What's
our part that we play in giving power to the words we speak or that
are spoken TO us? What are words, really? They're air passing through
vocal chords. They're also just a collection of vibrating sounds that
we have oddly, yet collectively, decided have meaning and we bestow
certain words with tremendous power. They only have the power that we
have unknowingly decided they should possess. Strange, isn't it? What
has power to me may not have power in someone else's life and
vise-versa. Then there are specific words that have power over EVERY
SINGLE LIVING PERSON! How is that actually decided? Is it something
we are all inherently born with inside of us, from generations of
sin? Who decided we all would feel pain if they were spoken to us or
if we spoke them to someone else? Words do have power, but only as
much power as we choose to give them. For all of us broken souls out
there, sometimes the words that sting us the most are the words that
show us where we are wounded and what we haven't turned over to the
Lord! Have you ever been skipping along through life, or work, or
day-to-day chores, happily going through the motions, thinking
everything is just fine and dandy, when all of the sudden, out of
nowhere, someone says something to you and you are hurt, angry or
just plain devastated? It can ruin your whole mood, your whole day and depending on the intensity, your whole week! You are taken aback and taken by surprise and have
no idea why you felt that way or reacted that way? Yes! We all have
been there! But the reason that happens is an unhealed wound!
Somewhere along the lines of life, we have buried something rather
than allowing the Lord to heal it for us so at the right moment,
unexpectedly, we are thrown head first into a tailspin of emotions
and it forces us to look deep inside of ourselves to find that open
wound, acknowledge it and surrender it! The power of words in these
circumstances are used for the good!
Mark
11:23-24, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this
mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt
in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he
will have whatever he says. 24) Therefore I say to you, whatever
things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you
will have them."
This
is one of the most fascinating verses in all of Scripture. First,
Jesus is telling us that we could "talk" to the mountains
in our lives and they would move. In the Bible, human obstacles and
hurdles are sometimes referred to as "mountains." One
example of this is found in Zechariah 4:7, "'Who are you, O
great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he
shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of "Grace, grace to
it!"" Jesus was referring to the human hurdles and
obstacles that we face daily, when He referred to "this
mountain." Jesus is also clearly telling us, and it can also be
interpreted as instructing us, that we can speak to the human
obstacles of sickness, family problems, finances, etc., and they will
yield to us. There is tremendous power released when we speak God’s
solution TO our problems but the key phrase is "GOD'S SOLUTION."
So then when we look at Mark 11:23 a little more closely and we can
see something else. Jesus made reference to "saying"
something to our problems three different times there. Yes, I had to
read it a few times to receive that which I saw! Read it again and
you too will find the words "SAY to this mountain," "…
believe that those things which he SAYS" and "shall have
whatsoever he SAYS." Do you see it too? Pretty awesome!!! Three
times in this one verse Jesus made clear references to Believers
having what they SAY, what they SPEAK. But, it comes with a
condition. Notice something else Jesus said in this very same verse.
He said, "…shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE."
Three times Jesus stressed the importance of SAYING something but
only ONCE did He actually mention the importance of believing
something. To me, this means Jesus is obviously telling us that we
have to do three times more saying than believing if we want to see our
obstacles removed. This is a Spiritual Law that Jesus always applied
in His own life. Law of Faith. Believing. Here He tells us that we
must APPLY it to our lives as well as SAYING it. Now, please also understand that God's solution may not be what we think the solution should be for our human obstacles to yield to us. I remember growing up getting the following pounded into my spirit and mind; God always answers our prayers with yes, no, or wait. His solutions are for our good and what we think in our flesh should happen, many times would only cause more strife!
Jesus
said that words are seeds and can produce much fruit, 30-100 fold,
depending on the kind of soil where they are planted and from the
care that they're given. Seeds always produce after their own kind so
if it’s an apple seed you’ll definitely get a tree that produces
apples, not some other kind of fruit. In comparison then, words also
bring increase. If you speak words of unforgiveness, anger, jealousy,
hate, fear, doubt, or pride, they, too, will all produce a harvest.
But the harvest those words will produce will be of the worst kind
that will have absolutely no benefit whatsoever. Vulgar, vile and profane words included here! However, if you
speak words of faith, hope, truth and love you will produce an
abundance of fruit that is extremely beneficial! So we really
shouldn’t be surprised when we see a tree (person) bearing bad
fruit when they’ve been speaking (planting) bad seeds (words). Luke
6:43-45, "For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a
bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit.
For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes
from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart
brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his
heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his
mouth speaks." There is sadly an abundance of the bad-seed
planters out there planting all kinds of bad seeds and those bad
seeds are producing bad fruits. They are planting them in themselves
and in others, producing trees bearing bad fruits all over the place! This is why I have warned to be careful what we allow our eyes to see, our ears to hear, our minds to think and our mouths to speak. For the eyes: Psalm 101:3, "I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me." For our thoughts: Romans 12:2, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." For our speech: Proverbs 15:1, "A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger." and Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." For our ears: Mark 4:24, "Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given."
This is clearly a generation of people who wants quick and instant results and immediate satisfaction. There is no patience, no thought, no true consideration. Unfortunately, seeds take time to grow. To take root. They also need to be cared for like watering, sunshine, and weeding. Weeds strangle out the roots and kill the harvest. Once we plant seeds of our words, we must take care to tend to the weeds before they overgrow and damage what is meant for good. If we don't "pluck" our tiniest of weeds (words) in its infancy, it will take over, strangle and kill the most beautiful of fruits. If those "weeds" (bad seeds) take root and are left to grow on their own, they become harder and harder to pull until one day, you find yourself having to shovel up the roots along with the seed and start all over. If you’ve been speaking words of doubt, planting seeds of doubt, the Bible says your heart, (which is the ground for the seed to grow in), has become hardened. We all know that seeds can't grow on hard ground. So in Mark 4:18 it says that worry chokes out the seed. Many of us worry unnecessarily, don't we? In Matthew 6:31, God asks why we worry and talk about our worry. Worry chokes out the seed.....the seed can't take root.....without the root, there is no growth (blessing in the harvest!) You see, how we speak, what we say, and choose to say, is extremely critical to the condition of our heart and to the fruit we bear in our life. God tells us above all else that we are to guard our heart, for everything we do flows from it! If we are careless with our hearts and leave it exposed to all kinds of "seeds" then we will harvest those seeds and become them. He then tells us how we are to guard our hearts; by keeping our mouth free of perversity (a deceitful mouth), and keeping all corrupted talk far from flowing from our lips. I know this is difficult to do sometimes but it's something we really need to strive to do daily! Those careless with their words and their choice of words are so conditioned to those words that they are planted deep within their hearts! Each time they speak profanely, without regard to content and the audience, it's a selfish act of being unkind. I pray everyone who is reading this or who was led to this post, and is struggling with profane words flowing from their mouths, turn from those ways, repents and allows the Lord to begin a new work within you! For those who aren't saved, who use the vulgar words, you aren't being judged. You are being prayed for so that you hear the voice of the Lord and accept His free gift of Salvation!
Once you let out a word, it's impossible to take it back so it's so important to speak words of kindness, love, gentleness, truth, encouragement and fullness. It takes just seconds to say, and oftentimes even less time to think about, but many of the words that have been released will be tested by the fullness of time. Words have a tremendous impact on all of us. Whatever words we choose to utter should be carefully chosen with the utmost care because people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or evil. Words can comfort a grieving heart, or it can cause that grief. Words can make you laugh, or they can make you cry. They can cause much happiness or cause much sorrow. In Proverbs 10:20 says, "The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little." The tongue can speak the truth or it can tell lies as in Proverbs 12:19 states, "The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment." If we really stop and think about the power of our tongue, it's quite overwhelming to think what kind of drama, trauma or negativity we've caused in our own lives, and more devastatingly, in the lives of others! So let's start trying to consciously speak positive words, wholesome words, instead of speaking ill and negatively, over ourselves and the lives of others. This would please the Lord to see His children being more like His Son! Remember, to be human is to be vulnerable, feeling individuals, and it comes with all its feelings and emotions and times of weariness due to our struggles in this life, on this side of heaven. Our mountains may sometimes appear larger than life but only because we focus on them, thereby making them appear larger than they really are. The more you stare at something you perceive to be gigantic, the larger it will begin to appear to your mind's eye! It's that stubborn fear and worry all over again. Satan tends to constantly play the negative tapes of our lives, and he plays on these areas of our weakness, trying to accuse us day in and night out to get us to believe the lies. He is relentless in his evil plots to destroy lives. God goes to extreme measures to make Himself known to us, to all of us. God doesn't want any of us to perish and sent His Son Jesus Christ as our Truth! Satan, on the other hand, goes to great lengths to deceive all mankind. Satan comes at a young age to cripple you with fears, worries, anxieties, so you never step into your full destiny with God. His whole agenda is to keep you away from our Creator God and His Son Jesus Christ! Satan wants your thinking all messed up so you will possess wrong perceptions and rejection issues. He wants you to have a root of bitterness in your heart so that every little thing sends you off the charts, firing off at the mouth, and spewing things you later regret. All the while knowing seeds will be planted and he will fiercely run after those weeds before they're plucked so he can strangle all the Hope in Jesus Christ! Let's choose not to take part in his play. Let's choose not to watch his movie! I
just want to say once again, our Words have GREAT power! They play a
part in our everyday life and we must be mindful of the words we
choose to speak over ourselves and others because what you plant NOW,
will be the fruits of tomorrow! Plant the best seeds you have inside
of you and hold your tongue even when you feel like it's an
impossibility! God will guard it for you and will either keep you
quiet or give you words to speak in place of the bad seeds you nearly
planted! Today, choose to step into a much greater destiny by
allowing God to heal your heart and to rule and reign where you have
not allowed Him to be LORD. It may be your mouth, your emotions, or
maybe even your character. God wants you to be the same person from
home, in the car, at the office, in church, on the internet, on social media or at the store. It doesn't matter. So
when you hear the words of others, you can either choose to receive
them as truth or to reject them as lies. You can choose to listen to the profanity and vulgarity or choose to listen to something else more pleasing to the soul and moreso, to the Lord! And in the same manner you
hear the words of others, every time you open your own mouth to utter
a word to someone else, you have the opportunity to speak life or the
temptation to take it. Let us seriously think before we speak and let
us guard our hearts before we receive!
Heavenly
Father, I come to you in thanksgiving for all that you've blessed us
with in this life. I pray for the healing of the open wounds that are
still raw and for those without Hope to seek your Face. Father God, I
ask that you teach us Father, to hold our tongues and to be mindful
of the words we speak to one another so we can build each other up
and not tear one another down. Lord, we all come to you in our rawest
forms, because we know Your ways are best. Please heal us of our
wounds and teach us to speak with Love, with Your Love! Let us spread
Your Word in this fallen world and come together in your name! Touch
each heart that you have brought to this article because we know
nothing is accidental or coincidental with You, Father God. Touch
their lives, comfort their pain and show them Love. In all this we
ask in Jesus' name, AMEN and AMEN!
